Red Bank Catholic alumnus Robert Horn (RBC ’56) announced that he and his wife Pat have generously endowed a partial scholarship to be awarded annually to an RBC student who demonstrates both academic success and financial need. The scholarship will follow the student for four years based upon a minimum 3.0 GPA and a record of good standing with the school.
Mr. Horn is a true Casey. He was a member of the RBC basketball and baseball teams, and remembers his many years as an altar server and the enjoyment he had as an active member of student organizations including The Signpost and Student Council.
The foundation he received from Red Bank Catholic inspired him to pursue a degree in data management and business administration. Following four years in the U. S. Navy as a Hospital Corpsman, Mr. Horn had a successful career in the banking industry that spanned more than four decades. During that time he impacted the entire industry by introducing technology that allowed for customer protection and as a result, enhanced profitability. Now retired, Mr. Horn continues to maintain close contact with his RBC classmates.
The Red Bank Catholic community is honored and grateful to be remembered this way. Principal Robert Abatemarco says, “It is truly wonderful when those who attended RBC want others to experience the same or greater opportunities. Robert Horn is a great example of our caring and passionate base of alumni and friends.”
