COMMUNITY and SCHOOL DATA

Red Bank Catholic High School is located in Red Bank, New Jersey, a town of middle to upper middle income, home-owning residents. Red Bank is situated in the North Jersey shore area, 65 miles northeast of Philadelphia, and 50 miles east of Trenton. The area is noted for its electronics and communications industries and its financial community. The future-oriented businesses are complemented by the rural and suburban atmosphere of much of the surrounding county. 

Red Bank Catholic High School is accredited by the AdvancED Accreditation Commission. Additionally, as a parochial high school, the Diocese of Trenton directs the implementation of the educational program.

The college preparatory curriculum of our four-year parochial high school is diverse and student-centered. Strong emphasis is placed upon the importance of basics in a traditional college preparatory program. About 871 students attend Red Bank Catholic with 227 enrolled in the 2016/2017 senior class. In the class of 2016, 92.2% enrolled in four-year colleges or universities; 6.4% enrolled in two-year colleges; 1.4% entered the work force or military. The percentage of the class enrolled in two or four year in-state schools was 21.4%, and 76.3% enrolled in out-of-state schools.

A minimum of 130 credits is required for graduation and must include the following:

ADVANCED PLACEMENT

Placement in Advanced Placement and honors courses is selective and based upon teacher recommendations, standardized test scores, and prior academic performance in the subject area.

AP TEST RESULTS 
For 2016, 68% of the 2016 AP scores were a 3, 4 or a 5. Eleven students were named AP Scholars, one was named AP Scholar with Honor, and two were named AP Scholars with Distinction. Thirty-six percent of the class of 2016 took one or more AP exams. A total of 192 AP exams were administered to 106 seniors, juniors, and sophomores.

STANDARDIZED TESTING DATA
The Cognitive Abilities Test is administered to all freshmen. The average composite percentile for the classes of 2017 69%, 2018 68%, and 2019 was 67%.

*Global ConsortiumVirtual High School (online) classes are offered to resolve schedule conflicts or go beyond the regular curriculum (including AP classes that are not available). Students are assigned to a regular class period with a monitor to work online on a daily basis.

Grades are letter grades with the following values assigned:
A+ = 98 - 100      B = 85 - 89        C = 77 - 81      D = 70 - 74

A- = 90 - 92

GPA/CLASS RANK
Our 4.0 G.P.A. is weighted according to the difficulty level of the course taken. It is therefore possible for a significant number of students in a class to have a G.P.A. which exceeds 4.0. Reporting of class rank on student transcripts is optional.
