You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown

Charles Schulz’s beloved comic comes to life in this cheerful, classic musical! The story takes places from a bright uncertain morning to a hopeful starlit evening through a series of vignettes, funny dialogue, and catchy orchestrations. Charlie Brown, his pal Snoopy and the rest of the Peanuts gang: Lucy, Linus, Sally, and Schroeder will surely keep you smiling.

Christmas In New York

November 20th, 8pm (Carnegie Hall)

The RBCHS Choir joins the American Festival Choir under the direction of Dr. Phil Barfoot to  kick off the Christmas Season in New York City!  The American Festival Choir is made up of over 350 singers from all across the United States performing Christmas music both old and new.  This year Charles Billingsley  joins the chorus as the headlining Christian Solo Artist.

An Evening of Readings and Carols

November 30th, 7pm (St. James Church)

 Ring in the Christmas season with the RBCHS Choir, Chamber Choir, Handbell Choir, and Festival Brass with beloved Christmas Carols and much more!  Scripture selections intertwined with beautiful, sacred choral and instrumental music remind us of the true reason for Christmas. A post-concert reception will be hosted by the PTA.

The Holiday Dance Spectacular!

December 15th & 16th, 7pm (Broad Street Auditorium)
$20 (includes refreshments)

 Members of the After-School Dance Program, Dance Department and Dance Company will team up to present the annual Winter Dance Concert. This year the dancers will perform RBC’s version of the Rockette Christmas Spectacular. From dancing reindeer to dancing Santa’s, this show is sure to delight all ages and really set the stage for the Christmas Holiday. Presented in a Coffee House Cabaret setting, audience members will enjoy coffee and dessert during Intermission. Tickets for this show sell out fast so make sure to get yours as soon as they go on sale!

Moon Over Buffalo

January 26th & 27th, 7pm (Broad Street Auditorium)

In this hilarious comedy by Ken Ludwig, George and Charlotte Hay, fading Broadway stars, have taken their run-down touring company to Buffalo, New York. Along with five other actors and a hard of hearing stage manager they  attempt to perform Private Lives and Cyrano De Bergerac, but their larger than life offstage personalities get in the way.  In true farce fashion this story is fast-paced, filled with slamming doors, an abundance of pratfalls, and hysterical moments!

The American Heart Show

February 1st, 7pm (Broad Street Auditorium)
$10 General Admission 

The RBC Dance Company will host their annual benefit concert with special guest dancers from our dance community. This show will focus on bringing awareness to the community about Heart disease, which is the number one killer for women in the United States. Actors from the RBC Drama Department will appear throughout the show with tidbits on prevention and support and RBC vocalists will help tie the show together. Each number in the show will represent either Love or Heartache calling special attention to how stress, anxiety and lack of respect for your body and your health cause disease in life, which can lead to disease of the heart. Join us on a journey through the need for love, support and proper health in our lives and help support the American Heart and Lung Association.

Thoroughly Modern Millie

March 15th-17th, 7pm & 18th 2pm (Broad Street Auditorium)

It’s 1922 and small-town girl, Millie Dillmount arrives in New York City ready to make her dreams come true of becoming a secretary for a wealthy man and marry him. It doesn’t take long for her plan to go awry all due to a conniving landlady, a penniless bachelor, and her new best friend, Dorothy. Filled with flappers, tap dancing, and a musical score from the Jazz Age, this lively musical is the ultimate tribute to the spirit of New York City and the people who seek to discover themselves there.

After School Theater Showcase

April 27th & 28th, 7pm (Fine and Performing Arts Center)
$5 General Admission

The After School Theater Showcase is a culminating performance that incorporates acting, singing, and musical theater in a cabaret setting. Students of all grades and theatrical interests meet once a week from September to April to collaborate on this original show.  In the process students learn acting techniques for the stage and screen, musical theater styles, improvisation, characterization, audition skills, script writing, and theater production.

Spring Dance Concert: We are the World!

May 4th & 5th, 7pm (Broad Street Auditorium)

Seniors in the RBC Dance Department have the amazing opportunity to choreograph and produce a dance in the mainstage concert for this show. Dancers in the RBC community learn their piece and perform it with other faculty and guest pieces for the annual Spring Dance Concert. The concert is filled with a variety of dance styles from ballet to hip hop, musical theater and lyrical, and modern and contemporary. RBC Chamber Choir Performs Ordo Virtutum

May 6th, 4:30pm (Church of St. Anthony of Padua)

Join the RBC Chamber Choir, our 15-voice women’s chorus as they perform a rare gem of Catholic Liturgical History!  St. Hildegard Von Bingen, a Benedictine Abbess was a philosopher, Christian Mystic, polymath, writer, and composer from the 11th Century.  Ordo Virtutum is a liturgical drama for women’s chorus depicting the struggle for a human soul (anima) between the virtues and the devil.  This incredible work is very rarely performed and will truly be an inspiring performance you won’t want to miss!

 

Les Miserables Live in Concert

May 18th, 7pm (Broad Street Auditorium)

Join the award winning Red Bank Catholic High School Choir, Festival Orchestra, and music program alumni as they present Les Miserables School Edition live in concert!  This classic work of literature is brought to life through one of the most beautiful, and recognizable scores in musical theater history.
