Boys Wrestling - Varsity
HEAD COACH JOSEPH GALLAGHER
Coach Gallagher is entering his eighth season as Head Wrestling Coach. The program has a proud and successful history but went through a difficult transition period. Since Coach's arrival in the 2008-09 season Red Bank Catholic wrestling has seen 5 wrestlers reach the District finals and nine wrestlers reach the Region VI championships. RBC wrestling enjoyed it's first state tournament medal winner in over 30 years in 2014. Coach's overall record is 71-74. It took a few seasons of growth and learning but over the last five seasons the team has gone 63-38 and that success was a major reason that opposing coaches voted Coach Gallagher the District 22"Coach of the Year" in 2010. He teaches three different business classes at RBC as well as assisting the Football and Spring Track and Field programs.
Coach Gallagher graduated from St. Joseph's Prep in Philadelphia and attended The College of the Holy Cross on a Football scholarship. He is married to his wife Lauren and they have two children, Joseph and James.
