RBC Students Honor Fallen Hero & Fellow Casey Jamie Riley

As the Casey Family continues to mourn the loss of PFC Jamie Riley (RBC '15), Red Bank Catholic students and faculty were honored to view his procession as it drove down Peters Place on its way to Tower Hill Church in Red Bank.  The students held flags and banners in support of the Riley family and our troops.  Jamie was killed on January 22nd, 2019 during a training exercise in New Mexico.

Jamie always wanted to join the military and enlisted in the Army early in 2018.  He was a Cavalry Scout, Reconnaissance Soldier stationed at Fort Bliss, Texas, where he was assigned to the 1st Armored Division, 1st Battalion, 36th Infantry Regiment, 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team.

While at RBC, Jamie excelled in football, track and field, and practiced Tae Kwon Do, achieving his third degree black belt.  His teachers remember him as a kind, driven student who wouldn't hesitate to stay after class to expand pointed discussions about topics he was passionate about.  Jamie's loss is felt throughout the Casey community and our hearts hang heavy today as we come together to pay tribute.
