RBC Students Raise Money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

Warmest Congratulations to four outstanding Red Bank Catholic students who participated in the Students Of The Year Campaign sponsored by the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.  They single handedly raised thousands of dollars for this charity with unique and creative fundraising efforts.  Students Of The Year is a seven week philanthropic leadership development program during which students foster professional skills such as entrepreneurship, marketing, and project management in order to raise funds for the world’s largest nonprofit fighting blood cancer.   The title Student(s) Of The Year is awarded to the candidate or co-candidates in each community who raises the most funds during the competition.  The winning fundraiser is awarded a $10,000 college scholarship at the Grand Finale Celebration Dinner.

Alyssa Marino and Hannah Dicovitsky’s Team Hope sponsored a basket raffle, organized a school dress down day, and solicited advertisements for the closing program.

Isabella Brockriede’s Ava’s Angels hosted a raffle, solicited donations from major companies, managed a letter writing campaign and organized a school bake sale.

Kayla Domanski’s Dream Team organized a Pocketbook Bingo event, managed a letter writing campaign, organized a school bake sale and utilized social media to prompt donations.

All participants viewed this as an amazing experience!  In total these philanthropic students raised over $50,000 for the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society.  They are truly amazing role models for our school founded by the Sisters of Mercy.
