Tribute to Richard Belicose (RBC '64)
The Alumni Department at RBC was contacted by Ms. Katie Kearney, a student at Westlake High School in Austin, Texas. Her note and project can be found below.
Dear Mr. Pisarcik,
My name is Katie Kearney and I am junior at Westlake High School in Austin, Texas. Every year, the junior English classes at Westlake read the book The Things They Carried by Tim O'Brien and complete a Vietnam Memorial Project to honor those who served our country in Vietnam.
Each student is assigned someone who died during the Vietnam war. I was assigned Richard Belicose, a 1964 graduate of Red Bank Catholic High School.
I wanted to share the memorial video I made for Richard with the school so that any of his classmates or others who knew him would have the chance to view it.
