Another Successful Season for Casey Athletes

Congratulations to our Casey athletes on another successful season!  As the days turned shorter, winter athletics kicked into high gear for a season which culminated with championships and athletes from numerous sports being awarded All Shore recognition.

The girls swim team improved upon their regular season record with a 10-1 finish winning the Non-Public A Division.  The 200 freestyle relay team of Paige Miro, Kelly Ann Smith, Ainsley Stamberger and Haley Stamberger were Monmouth County and Shore Conference Champions and received First Team All Shore honors.  Paige Miro received Second Team honors for the 100 breastroke. The hockey team followed up another successful year with senior goalie Ciaran McNelis named First Team All Shore.  The boys basketball team celebrated a solid season with a signature win against rival CBA in the NJSIAA Non-Public South A quarterfinal.  Earlier in the season they defeated rival St. John Vianney. 

The girls indoor track team received numerous Second Team honors and helped propel RBC to another Monmouth County Championship.  Congrats to senior Jylissa Harris for the 55 meter hurdles and high jump, and the 4x400 relay team of Anna Cleary, Jessie Castellano, Jackie Rieger and Tess Darnell.  Jessie also received Third team honors for the 400 meters. Rose Caverly, of the girls varsity basketball team was named First Team All Shore at the Guard position.  Her 13.3 points per game average helped the Caseys capture the Non-Public South A final. Senior guard Katie Rice received Third Team honors and the team finished the season with a 19-5 record.  RBC wrestling had a banner season, sending four wrestlers to the Regions round of competition, with Michael Griggs and Steven Cmielewski advancing to the quarter final round in the competitive NJ Region 6.
