Mary Pat Erickson Moriarty (RBC '93) was a powerful force for RBC cross country and track & field during her four years as a Casey. She earned First Team All-Shore honors eleven times and, in both her sophomore and junior years, she was named First Team All-State for cross country.
During her first indoor track season freshman year Mary Pat was the Shore Conference Champion in the 1600m. Then in her sophomore year she led the team to the 1990 Cross-Country Group III State Championship with a first-place finish.
As a senior Mary Pat was the Shore Conference Cross Country Champion and the Monmouth County Outdoor Track Champion in the 1600m and 3200m. That same year she won first place titles for the Shore Conference 3200m, the Monmouth County 3200m, the Parochial A 3200m, the Catholic Conference 1600m, and the Monmouth County 1600m.
Mary Pat went on to attend George Mason University on a full-athletic scholarship where she was captain of the Women's Cross-Country Team and co-captain of the Indoor and Outdoor Track Teams. She earned All-CAA Cross Country Team honors in 1994 and 1995. In her sophomore year she earned All-Region honors at the ECAC/NCAA Region II Cross-Country Championships and as a senior she earned All-American honors in the Distance Medley Relay in 11:15.02; a time that still holds the University's Indoor school record. Mary Pat is also a member of GMU's outdoor 4 x 800 record-holding team and she helped the women's Outdoor Track Team earn four consecutive ECAC championships competing in the 1500m.
After graduating GMU with a B.A. in Biology in 1997, Mary Pat worked as an Assistant Track Coach at Monmouth University before entering Seton Hall University Law School in 1999. Today she is a real estate attorney practicing in private asset management at Bessemer Trust.
