Denise Taylor Laguer was the premier hurdler of the RBC Girls Track Team from 1975 to 1978. During the 1978 season Denise wonevery race she ran. Her list of major meet victories includes the Monmouth County Champion, Sectionals Champion, State Group III Champion where she tied the state record, and first place in the 110 yard hurdles at the NJ Meet of Champions. That same year Denise was named to the All Shore Girls Track & Field Team, All Monmouth County Girls Track Team and All State Girls Track Team.
The Daily Register wrote, “Denise proved week in and week out that she was one of the smoothest hurdlers in the state, and added some more believers when she edged out her opponent in the 110 yard hurdles at the NJ Meet of the Champions at Princeton University.
While at Red Bank Catholic, Denise lettered in track and cheerleading. She went on to University of Maryland where she held the university womens’ hurdles record for 8 years. Denise lives in Charlotte, North Carolina and has worked in the financial industry for the last 35 years specializing in compliance, risk, audit and financial crimes.
