Jacqueline Soboti (RBC '04) and RBC senior Courtney Carroll
Jacqueline Soboti (RBC ‘04) and Anna Zonen from The Therapy Institute in Red Bank volunteered to mentor for the RBC Internship Program this semester and were happy to welcome seniors Courtney Carroll and Caroline Fazio as interns. Jacqueline was excited to give back to the RBC community and to mentor the students in the fields of psychology and entrepreneurship.
The Therapy Institute is a premiere group therapy practice located in Red Bank that provides individual, group and family therapy with a focus on mental health and well-being. There are several clinicians on staff who specialize in a plethora of mental health needs including depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and trauma. They treat adults, teens, children, families and couples.
As part of their internship, Courtney and Caroline are establishing a marketing plan for The Therapy Institute and are learning about what it means to be a therapist and how this role can be impactful, influential and life-changing on a micro and macro level. Some of their accomplishments thus far include marketing a "Mindful Parenting" group and assisting in the curriculum development of a program designed for teens, parents and educators to openly talk about the mental health needs of high school teens. Jacqueline notes how well the internship is going so far saying, “We are so lucky to have their input, their enthusiasm, and of course their Casey Spirit!”
