Exam Schedule

Due to last week’s snow, midterm exams will be pushed back one day to allow for adequate planning and preparation. Midterm exams will run Tuesday, January 16 through Friday, January 19. The periods have been adjusted to accommodate the students registered to attend the March for Life on January 19. Those students will be contacted separately regarding their Period 4 and 5 exams.

Please review the revised schedule and procedures for midterm exams.

1/15     School Closed

1/16     Session 1:  Period 1 exams      Session 2:  Period 2 exams

1/17     Session 1:  Period 3 exams      Session 2:  Period 6 exams

Exams are administered in English, History, Mathematics, Science, and World Language and equal 20% of the semester grade. All exams are administered by their own teachers in the regular assigned classrooms. There are two exams each day: Session 1 runs from 8:30am to 10:00am and Session 2 runs from 10:35am to 12:05pm. Homeroom is mandatory for all students who have an exam on a given day and runs from 10:05am-10:30am between Sessions 1 and 2. Students must attend Homeroom, but may arrive late or leave early depending on their exam schedule for that day. Students without an exam on a given day are excused and do not need to report to school or need a parent to call.

Buses will arrive at 2:26pm on January 12, 16, and 18, and at 12:12pm on January 17. Students may leave following the Session 2 exam each day. The library is available from 7:50am until the afternoon buses arrive for students who wish to study during sessions in which they do not have an exam.

*Please note that the only acceptable reason to miss an exam is illness verified with a doctor’s note. As specified in the Student Handbook, any student who is absent due to illness during exams must present a doctor’s note before being granted administrative permission to schedule a makeup exam. No exceptions will be granted for this requirement.

The Senior Class is sponsoring a dress down fundraiser during exam week.  Students may dress down according to the guidelines posted on the Student Portal at a cost of $1 per day.

In the event of snow during exam week, you will be notified via the Honeywell Instant Alert System of any change.

If you have any questions, please contact the Business Office.

Thank you, and good luck to all our students on their exams.
