Continuing a time-honored Casey tradition, the seniors gathered Friday in the BSA to mark their 100 days until graduation. They were able to pause from their very busy year to have some time to reflect on the journey they began together four years ago, and to take a look ahead at their future beyond these halls.
Principal Mr. Abatemarco reminded them that although graduation is fast approaching, these remaining 100 days can be spent to start a new friendship, perhaps mend an old one, and finish academically strong in the Casey tradition.
Jil Fama, a graduate of the Class of 2009, came back to share some of her experiences with life after RBC, specifically encouraging the students to have the perseverance to succeed even when they may doubt themselves. Jil has degrees from American University and Columbia University and currently works as a producer for Good Morning America. Perseverance was a central theme in many of the stories Jil shared about her job interacting with celebrities and covering major events like music concerts and the Super Bowl.
The Class of 2018 enjoyed the opportunity to be together as a class, to reflect on their past, on the time they have left, and on their future after graduation.
