Natalie Cocchi Gorman was the dominant force on the team that set the standard for Caseys Girls Soccer for years to come. A four year varsity starter, Natalie helped lead the Caseys to the school’s first ever Shore Conference Title in 1999 and again in 2001. As team captain her senior year she helped the team go undefeated in the regular season, win the sectional title and the first RBC Girls’ Soccer NJSIAA Parochial A Championship. By the time she graduated Natalie had racked up 57 goals, 30 assists and 144 career points. She was named First Team All-Shore and All-State, Monmouth County Player of the Year, was ranked seventh in the nation at her position by the National Soccer Coaches’ Association of America and No. 1 in the Mid-Atlantic Region her senior year.

Natalie went on to have a stellar career playing for West Virginia University where she scored 15 goals, 5 assists and 35 points. She was captain of the 2007 team that won the Big East Championship, advanced to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament and finished ranked number one in the NSCAA Mid-Atlantic Region. One of the most decorated players in WVU’s history, Natalie was named Big East Player of the Week six times.

She graduated in 2008 and went on to serve as assistant women’s soccer coach first at Duquesne University and then for eight seasons at the University of Louisville. While at Louisville, Natalie helped guide the Cardinals to not only their first NCAA Tournament berth, but multiple trips to the NCAA’s. During their record-setting 2011 season, they also advanced to their first ever Big East Tournament Title game and ended the season ranked 24th overall in the final NSCAA coaches’ poll.

Natalie has come home to Monmouth County where she is Director of Athletics for Ranney School. She and her husband Daniel live in Tinton Falls with their son, Louis.
