During her years at RBC, Sheila earned varsity letters in track & field, cross country and gymnastics. She was a member of athletic teams that won six state titles. Legendary RBC Coach Jack Rafter once described her as “one of the most intense competitors I've ever seen.” Sheila was twice a New Jersey State Champion in the 880 yard dash and amazingly, she did it as a freshman while also setting a school record.
Coach Rafter described her competitive racing record as “amazing.” Sheila was a member of the RBC Girls Varsity Track & Field Team all four years at RBC (1971-1974.) In three of those years the teams won the State Championship. She was also undefeated in dual track meets during her entire RBC running career.
After graduating from RBC, Sheila earned a degree in Health and Physical Education from Lock Haven State College. For the past 30 years, she has worked in the health and fitness field, primarily as a manager for a major energy company in Houston, Texas where she has been instrumental in designing and operating four onsite fitness centers with over 3,000 members.
